Otherwise known as the saddest night of our senior life.
Alright I'm just gonna find a really emotional song to put me in the mood.
First of all firsts,I'd like to say CONGRATULATIONS to all the graduates. We all survived high school. Alhamdullilah.
First of all firsts,I'd like to say CONGRATULATIONS to all the graduates. We all survived high school. Alhamdullilah.
The 26th of November was one of the highlights of my senior year. I passed form 5 and therefore,I get to sit on the seat where every graduates are. The night began with us marching into the hall while the CHMS band played some beats.
Extremely dark circles that I got from prom night.
Later,it was the same thing. National anthem, speech by principal and guest of honor.
I was clearly bored. I wanted to listen to the principal for the last time but I just couldn't. I was texting with Geek because he couldn't go to my graduation. So saddening!!!
After that, the certificates was presented and it was a long wait. Long long wait. I didn't have anyone to talk to because the girl to my right wasn't really a person who likes people and the guy to my left (Oli) and I weren't really that close. We talked for a bit though. I spent the whole time looking for Ting around the hall. Lol
My brother took a lot of useless shots. Bear with me.
That is Hui Ying on the stage. She waited for quite a while for the guest of honor to go on stage. So awkward!!!! But she was brave enough not to back down.
Still waiting...
Spot tities (Xin Jie). ;)
FINALLY! LOL
My turn to get the certificate was after Pei Pei's performance. I think it was the last time I'd hear her sing. I hope she'll remember me when she goes international. :')
I remember once in primary 5,I joined the Chinese singing competition and she taught me how to hit the low note. LOL
I remember once in primary 5,I joined the Chinese singing competition and she taught me how to hit the low note. LOL
Me looking around looking as bored as ever.
My last day tucking in my uniform. AHA! Most of you read that wrongly ayy? ;) To be honest,it was the last day of everything for me that day.
How can I pose properly when there were so many people?
Before I go any further,I'd like to post something up. Something that might help you juniors through high school.
As you begin your high school experience, I thought I’d leave you with the things that, in retrospect, I think are important as you navigate the next years. I hope that some of them are helpful.
Here goes…
- Your friends will change a lot over the next years. Let them.
- Call your close friends and update them a few times a week, even if just for a few minutes.
- Take naps in the middle of the afternoon with reckless abandon.
- Adjust your schedule around when you are most productive and creative. If you’re nocturnal and do your best work late at night, embrace that. It may be the only time in your life when you can.
- If you write your best papers the night before they are due, don’t let people tell you that you “should be more organized” or that you “should plan better.” Different things work for different people.
- At least a few times in your high school years, do something fun and irresponsible when you should be studying.
I regret nothing. ;)
More later.
The group before me.
From the left : Fairie,Maznan,Hafidz,Azim, guest of honor,EJ,Yueh Peir,Do Hang and Zanna.
FINALLY MY TURN!!!
No that is not me on stage. I am the one on the stairs giving the thumbs up.
B4D 455
(Bad ass in case you noobs doesn't know what that stands for)
Fixing my shirt.
- Become friends with the discipline masters. That is Mr Ang,Mr Wu and Ivan. Trust me,being friends with them helps you A LOT during high school. I'd know. :p
- Carve out an hour every single day to be alone. (Sleeping does not count.)
- Go on dates. Don’t feel like every date has to turn into a relationship. This goes especially for boys who doesn't have balls.
- Don’t date someone your close friend has been in a relationship with. NO NO NEVER.
- Have high school relationships just for the fun of it.
- Working things out between friends is best done in person, not over email. (MSN does not count as “in person.”) Often someone’s facial expressions will tell you more than his/her words.
- Take risks. This goes to you,Viel Sia.
- Welcome failure into your lives. It’s how we grow. What matters is not that you failed, but that you recovered.
- It’s important to think about the future, but it’s more important to be present in the now.
Okay guys. I've been pending this post for a few days now and there's this particular person I'd like to blog about. MR. FAIRIE SHAH.

Fairie is such a pain in the ass. He is mean and bloody straight forward. He sees me as a boy and that sucks. :( BUT! Despite all that,I know he still loves me (I know you do Fairie, you just never wanna admit it) and he treats me like I'm his little sister. I feel so loved. He makes me feel down most of the time BUT he's also the one pulling me back up sometimes. On graduation night before he left,he shouted a few things at me and it made me and everyone else laugh. Ahhh. Thank you Fairie. You suck but please don't ever forget me. I won't let you. Never. SKKE? FWB? LOLJK. Update me selalu plz!
Moving on.
After singing the graduation song,we lined up to thank all the teachers. Major waterworks I tell you! When I shook hands with my kindergarten teacher,Teacher Sim (now the assistant principal),she said something that was so pleasant to hear, and it was prolly something I will never forget.
(In Chinese)
"I remember teaching you before. Do you still remember me?"
WAHHHHHH!!!! THE HONOR OF BEING REMEMBERED. MORE TEARSSSS!!!!
The principal (Mdm. Kho) knows my name too. Happy happy! At least I left the school being remembered. I hope none of them forgets me.
Anyway,so satisfied that most of my friends came for a hug and some came for a picture.
Cindy and I only got closer at the end of the year but it was worth it. I hope when I see you in like, one and a half year, you won't be so sensitive anymore. :p hehehehe Keep on stalking my twitter because you never know when your name might pop up. ;)
So awkward! Everyone had their certificates opened and mine was closed. Spot me on the 3rd row from the bottom.
I cried so much when I saw Elin,Sun,EJ,etc etc. Bloody hell.
My cousins from Kuching saw this picture and I know they're happy for me too. hehe
Siang Yi! My ex-boyfriend!
BEHOLD! A PICTURE THAT ALL OF YOU WILL LAUGH TO.
Okay go ahead. Laugh all you want. Yes I cried so much. Way too much. That's Mei Jean by the way. The girl with the extremely good quality camera and my friend that is half Thai!! Lucky lucky.
SUN. I told her not to forget me. Why would she anyway? LOLJK!
- Don’t be afraid to fall in love. When it happens, don’t take it for granted. Celebrate it, but don’t let it define your high school experience. NOTE THIS DOWN PEOPLE WHO TEND TO FORGET FRIENDS. (Hypocrite zimah)
- Much of the time you once had for pleasure reading is going to disappear. Especially when you reach the middle of the year when you're in form 5. Keep a list of the books you would have read had you had the time, so that you can start reading them when you graduate.
- Things that seem like the end of the world (like getting a heart break) really do become funny with a little time and distance. Knowing this, forget the embarassment and skip to the good part.
- Every once in awhile, there will come an especially powerful moment when you can actually feel that an experience has changed who you are. Embrace these, even if they are painful.
- No matter what your political or religious beliefs, be open-minded. You’re going to be challenged over the next years in ways you can’t imagine, across all fronts. You can’t learn if you’re closed off.
- If you need to get a job, find something that you actually enjoy. Just because it’s work doesn’t mean it has to suck.
- Don’t always lead. It’s good to follow sometimes.
- Take a lot of pictures. One of my major regrets in life is that I didn’t take more pictures in high school especially on important days/nights.
- Your health and safety are more important than anything.
- Ask for help. Often.
- As a student, you will have access to a variety of unique opportunities that no one else will ever have - don’t waste them.
Now,shall we walk down memory lane? Yes we shall.
2008. When the new building was still fresh.
2009. Back when I was very close with the Malays. Not being racist.
Brandon Tang's,Zi Ying's and mine. Back when wearing branded shoes was important to me.
2009 with Ling and Ting. I just got my hair curled so yes,it looked ugly. I remember Muizz and Maznan (how ironic.........) teasing me about it and I actually cried. LOL
HEWHEW
Chiew Niing,Me,Ting,Maerr,Janice and Elin.
2010. Crappiest year but best class ever.
This was before I got distant from them.
This was before the girls in this picture were friends I could trust. I trust some now. Not all.
Back when my teeth was crooked. hehe That's Sun by the way.
It's Sun again! Notice my bracelets? Those are friendship bracelets that Vincent (Piku),EJ and I have. I wore it till it broke. See how faithful I am!
I'm gonna miss dance practices! I'm gonna miss singing so much. Sigh
Thank you CHMS! I love you and I will make sure my children go to CHMS too.
- On the flip side, don’t try to do everything. Balance = well-being.
- Make perspective a priority. If you’re too close to something to have good perspective, rely on your friends to help you.
- Eat badly sometimes. It’s the last time in your life when you can do this without feeling guilty about it.
- Make a complete ass of yourself at least once, preferably more. It builds character.
- If you are in a relationship and none of your friends want to hang out with you and your significant other, pay attention. They usually know better than you do.
- Expand your horizons. Try new things.
- Explore the school thoroughly. Don’t get caught.
- Don’t make fun of juniors. That was you like 2 years ago.
- Enjoy every second of the next years. It is impossible to describe how quickly they pass. Impossible.
- This is the only time in your lives when your only real responsibility is to learn. Try to remember how lucky and blessed you are every day.
"Window seat next year?" -Goh Teck (graduation night)
He still remembers.
This is my first time getting a NIL. :')
Overall,CHMS was a great experience though I always vent about how sucky it is.
Yes some of the people in it sucks but you just have to find the right group of friends, like how I found mine. :)
